Winter GAP Verbier
With only a few weeks left until the winter season 2011/12 gets underway, everybody is getting excited and making last minute preparations. There is still time to book the Warren Smith Ski Academy GAP Ski Instructor course running from 7th January to 10th March 2012 with the aim of leaving as a ski instructor at the end of the season.
The Warren Smith Ski Academy GAP Ski Instructor Courses are the most critically acclaimed GAP Year Ski Instructor courses in the industry and have a 100% pass rate proven system. The course is run in association with BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) and consists of nine weeks residence in the prestigious resort of Verbier, Switzerland, taking successful students to BASI Level 2 ski instructor status.
Not only does it give you the chance to leave with a ski instructor qualification, but you will leave with a lifetime experience and some amazing friendships. The course is open to all ages and people from all walks of life. Over the years we have had business professionals, students, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, school leavers and people on retirement, each benefiting in their own way. To hear more from the students themselves, have a look at the student video reviews from 2008, 2009 and 2010 winter GAP courses. 2012 Summer Instructor Training in Saas-Fee
The Warren Smith Ski Academy Summer GAP Year Ski Instructor program on the glacier in Saas-Fee this year proved successful yet again with another 100% pass rate result. Congratulations to this year’s newly qualified Ski Instructors! Check out the students video review here.
Next year the nine-week summer ski instructor training programme will start on 7th July in Saas-Fee and run until 9th September and will give all participants the chance to leave with a ski instructor qualification that will be ready to use for winter 2012/13.
The program is very useful for people in education that only have a specific time window during the summer holidays to take time out. The course includes five intensive weeks of performance coaching, BASI Level 1, BASI Level 2, Off Piste Mountain Safety training, BASP First Aid Qualification, Ski Biomechanics training, video analysis and much more. The course offers a unique opportunity to get the most out of the skiing and have the bonus of being able to partake in summer sports in the afternoon such as volleyball, golf, tennis, football, downhill mountain biking, hiking and a whole lot more.
The Hotel Du Glacier is an official sponsor of the GAP 2011 Summer Program and has kindly offered to fix the already heavily discounted rate (almost half of the normal retail price) in Sterling for the Academy Gap students.
