A CLEAN SWEEP FOR OUR 2016 GAP YEAR STUDENTS

As well as our regular Academy courses, this week has seen our 2016 gap year students participate in their IASI level 1 ski instructor exam. We are extremely proud to say that due to the team’s hard work and dedication they all walked away with the all important pass.

As well as reaching high levels in their short and long piste performance turns, each student also had to teach their peers through the core skier development progression. This involved taking skiers from complete beginners through to parallel turns.

It’s a great achievement for all the gappies and we are super proud of each and every one of them. Now the hard work really starts. In the coming weeks they will be pushed to their limits with their personal performance. On top of their piste turns we will be putting them to test on some of Verbier Verbier 4Vallées most infamous off piste runs. They will also stand on our side of the fence as they shadow the regular Academy courses to gain some valuable teaching experience. All this will lead up to their level 2 exam which takes place in 6 weeks time.

This years students are proving to be a real credit to the Academy and are set to continue to boost our great reputation for training new instructors. We will keep you regularly updated with their progress. Take a look at their level exam week video blog here.
