ABOUT THE SKI COACHING TEAM

Tom Goldney

Tom's background is 9 years teaching across the Alps and Pyrenees to both recreational and expert skiers. Over the last 5 years his teaching also extended to coaching other instructors for their higher level qualifications.

Since joining the Academy, Tom is now one of the coaches training the GAP course through their first BASI 1 and 2 qualification. “Having Coached 30 students this year to achieve a 100% pass rate was a huge success to us, especially to me because that’s how I started off my ski career all those years ago”

As a keen Freeskier Tom enjoys practising his tricks over the water with his Water Skiing School before trying them on the snow. He has developed specific coaching technique's for this and continually takes people through major learning curved in skiing and water skiing.

His passion for skiing is his drive for coaching "It enables me to help skiers  enjoy the sport as much as I do!"
