Andy Bennett

Andy’s ski career began at the age of four, when he joined the local dry ski slope race club. He developed a good strong ski technique before entering his first mogul competition aged ten. Despite coming dead last and crashing in front of the judges Andy fell in love with mogul skiing and stuck at it. He represented Great Britain for several years, training and competing in Australia, USA and Europe. He gained over seven hundred FIS points while being trained by former World Champions  “Nelson Carmichael and Eric Berthon”.

Andy soon drifted into the emerging freestyle ski scene. Some of his  results include winning the Verbier and Saas-Fee Ride as well as the British  Championships several times in Big Air, Slopestyle and Halfpipe. He competed at World Cup Halfpipe for several years and managed to break into the top sixteen  worldwide during his peak. He has been representing Line Skis and Oakley for  many years and is also a member of the Ellis-Brigham freeski team.

Andy now coaches the British halfpipe skiers at word cup level as well as being  a regular coach for the British Freeski Camps and Salomon Grom Camps. He is a  lead model for the Ellis-Brigham ski catalogue and is regularly featured  in many of the UK ski magazines.  Andy combines his previous competitive experience with his knowledge of sports  science to deliver excellent all round ski coaching.
