CERVINIA WEEK 5 REPORT
THE CONDITIONS KEEP GETTING BETTER AT 3900M
We are well over halfway through our summer courses here in Cervinia and it’s fair to say that this weeks group got more than they bargained for when we were greeted with 5cm of fresh snow on the first morning. The conditions continued to stay cold all week long which kept the glacier in superb condition. This weeks group consisted of both new and old Academy members. It was lovely to welcome back Gerry and Angie (Qualified Canadian Ski Instructors now!) who attended our original summer courses when they took place in Tignes 18 years ago! It was great to see that they were still so hungry to learn and try out some new ideas and techniques. Our summer gap year students were on fine form this week as they took on a week of Freestyle training in the snow park ahead of their UKCP level 1 freestyle coaching exam next week. Check out this week’s video blog which includes a full report and action shots from the week.
We were also blown away this week with the overwhelming response on social media to our Sunday morning video blog. We couldn’t help but share just how amazing the conditions were up on the glacier and it certainly had the desired effect. 12,000 views, over 150 shares and an overall reach of 35,000 people saw this 30 second clip become one of our most popular posts to date.
