Petit Combin

Le Petit Combin is situated between Verbier and the Grande St Bernard, at an altitude of 3670m. The distance of the descent from the top to bottom is approximately 2000m. From the top there are some spectacular views from the Mont Blanc all the way to the Matterhorn. You can also see the Vaud and the Bernese Alps. |
The following are possible routes from Le petit Combin glacier:
Easy
• Via the glacier de Corbassiere to Fionnay
• Via the col de Panossiere and the glacier de Boveire to Bourg St-Pierre
• Via the glacier de Corbassière. Then an easy 1 hour (approx) hike to the col des Otanes. Then descent to Bonatchesse in the Val de Bagnes.
• Via the glacier de Corbassière. Then a 45 (approx) min easy hike to the col des Avouillons and from there descend to Lourtier by the cabane Brunet.
Moderately Difficult
• Via the glacier des Follats to Fionnay
Difficult
• A traverse to the col des Maisons Blanches or the col du Meitin then descent to Bourg St. Pierre
Very Difficult
• Via the North Face
