Pigne d'Arolla

The Pigne d'Arolla is one of the most beautiful summits in the region, dominating the Val d'Arolla. It is the highest point on the Chamonix to Zermatt Haute-Route. Pigne d'Arolla has a constant gradient which is perfect for the skier looking for a challenge. Sitting at an altitude of 3800m with a descent of 2000m you can ski all the way down to the conveniently located Arolla heliport.

The following are possible routes from Pigne d'Arolla:

Easy
Pigne - col de Chermontane - col de l'Evèque (2 hours walking) - descent to Arolla on the Haut glacier d'Arolla.
Via la cabane des Vignettes et le glacier de Pièces. 

Moderately Difficult
Via the glacier de Vuibé.
Pigne descent of the glacier des Dix - ascent to the col des Ignes (2 hours walking) - descent to La Gouill.

Difficult
Via the glacier de Tsijiore Nouve.

Extremely Difficult
