February 2017 sees the Academy team’s 7th trip to the powder capital of the the world that is Hokkaido, Japan. The village of Niseko will be our base for not one but two separate powder ski camps that will aim to improve the technique and confidence of all who attend. Skiing in Japan is truly one of the ultimate boxes to tick for any skier who wishes to experience the worlds best powder snow.

Over the years the Academy team have grown to know the terrain like the backs of their hands. Whether it’s secret open back bowls or the best lines through the beautiful Silver Birch trees each group will be sure to experience Niseko at its best.

Trip 1 will run from February 8th – 18th

Trip 2 will run from February 15th – 25th

Each course will consist of 5 days of performance powder ski coaching with the Academy team, plus 3 days of free skiing to help consolidate the new skill set. It is also possible to book both weeks back to back to get the full Japanese powder skiing experience. Due to the nature of the course we only admit skiers at or above our level 3 rating onto the course. The technical skills required to train and develop safely in powder are higher and hence the reason you have to be level 3 (advanced intermediate) before booking onto  the course. To easily identify the levels of skiers and roughly assess which level you currently are please click here.

The cost of the Academy powder camp coaching is £599 and this includes all 5 days of on mountain coaching, video analysis during the week and off piste awareness and safety training. Travel and accommodation information can be booked and organised through the Academy’s official travel partner, Ski Independence. Please contact Vikki directly at vikki@ski-i.com or call 01312438096

Since it’s official launch earlier in the spring both courses are already half full and will certainly continue to book up quickly. If you would like to see some action from our previous years camps please check out the Academy’s full history of video blogs on our YouTube channel here
