THE SUMMER GAP YEAR IN CERVINIA
This summer will see us return to the fantastic resort of Breuil-Cervinia and the Incredible summer skiing that the Plateau Rosa glacier provides. As well as the classic Academy 5 day courses the team will once again be delivering our summer ski instructor training programme.
Here, students will spend 9 weeks taking their skiing to higher levels and learning to pass on new found teaching skills to others. Week after week the Academy team will aim to break down technique in all areas of the learners performance. Piste, bumps, and steeps will all feature on a daily basis up on what is commonly regarded as Europe’s best summer skiing glacier.
The summer provides the perfect time for students to learn the trade and qualify as IASI level 1 and 2 ski instructors in time for the next winter season. The IASI qualification is recognised all over the world and in the last two years we have been very proud to see people go on to teach in Switzerland, The USA and throughout the UK and Ireland.
This year’s course will run from July 2nd until the 3rd of September and as well as the IASI level 1 and 2 successful students will also acquire their Level 1 Freestyle performance coaching award.
The Academy have been running ski instructor training for well over ten years and over that time we have complied a vast library of video footage and blogs where we document what happens on a daily basis.
