THE 2016 SUMMER COURSES CONTINUE
This week (week 4) has seen another great week of summer skiing. It’s been a warm one but the snow, due to the 3800m pistes, has held out and remained firm all week long. It’s a testament to Zermatt’s piste maintenance and to it being the highest summer skiing glacier in Europe.
All the guys have dug deep and worked really hard to get the changes in their skiing that they’ve been looking for. We’ve been really happy to welcome back lot’s of our regular Academy members who have skied on a full range of our annual courses. On top of that we’ve welcomed a whole new bunch of first time Academy course members and it’s been so lovely to see them become part of the extended family. There’s been a really strong after ski scene this week with the guys taking in the sun on the terrace in the afternoons, taking part in the weekly Academy quiz, enjoying the amazing food at La Bricole and then sinking Linda’s Bombadino’s back at the Hotel Mon Reve.
Something inspiring to mention this week is that we have been joined by the lovely Millie Robinson who has skied with us for the past year. Millie ski’s with a prosthetic leg and as you can see from the footage has worked incredibly hard to achieve an awesome level whilst skiing with Charlie Tate from the Academy team. She’s proved to be an immense source of inspiration for all the other course attendees and also been the life and sole of the party!
Check out this weeks video blog below to see how the whole team got on in Cervinia and Zermatt.
The forecast for next week is looking good for sun but also a slight drop in temperature so fingers crossed we’ll get another cracker and more fresh snow.
