THE JUMP IS BACK FOR SEASON 3
Back for it’s third series Channel 4‘s ‘THE JUMP’ makes it’s return to our TV screens this Sunday.
A select bunch of celebrities from the worlds of TV, music and sport will compete against each other in some of the most challenging and dangerous winter sports out there.
The adrenaline-charged series will be upping-the-ante for 2016 with the competitors taking on awe-inspiring winter sports events almost entirely live from Jump Mountain. The Jump will be taking over part of the Austrian Alps, with each episode featuring bigger, better and more challenging purpose built courses on which the competitors will go head-to-head live to keep their place in the competition.
Once again, the Warren Smith Ski Academy team are back as head coaches for all the skiing disciplines including the parallel Slalom, Skier cross, and the dreaded Big air jump.
Warren and the team have been hard at work over the last few weeks making sure all the contestants are reaching the required levels for them to compete at a high level and to do themselves proud.
This years contestants range from sporting legends like Linford Christie and Rebecca Adlington to pop music stars Brian McFadden (West life) and Sarah Harding (Girls Aloud) For a full list of all the celebs and more information on this years show format check out the Channel 4 website here. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-jump
Be sure to also check in on our Twitter feed @TheSkiAcademy to see regular updates for what all the guys are getting up to.
This year the series will be weekly on Channel 4, rather than in its usual nightly stripped format. We are hugely proud to be working on such a great show. Over 3 million people per night tuned into last years show and we can only expect that to increase this year. Anything that can push the sport of skiing into that many living rooms throughout the UK is something that we can all get excited about!
Watch this space over the next few days as we will be releasing some exclusive behind the scenes footage of how all the guys have been getting on with their Parallel Slalom and Big air training. The changes and development that they have all made has been amazing to see!
