Course Info
The course will be running continuously from Monday to Friday. Unless you are planning to take a day or two extra at either end of your trip, you should aim to arrive in resort the night before the course and depart either on a late evening Friday flight or Saturday flight. The courses are designed to build and develop skill and confidence in Moguls. This can be for decent piste skiers who have struggled to take that skill into the moguls or for already proficient mogul skiers looking to take their skills up a level in the bumps.
Skills are developed by practicing specific exercises both on piste and in the bumps. Each skier is also looked at from an individual point of view to help understand their strengths and improve upon their weaknesses.
The Moguls at this time of year are absolutely perfect. Having had the whole season of snowfall the base if fully established and typical April freeze/thaw conditions make for perfect weather for the moguls to form all over the mountain. We’ll use the mornings, when the bumps are typically pretty firm, to develop on piste and then when the moguls start to soften up a little we’ll head in to get some practical work down develop technique, tactics and confidence skiing the bumps.
Each day we’ll ski from 9.30am until 3.30pm and take a lunch break at approximately 12.30pm. We will be filming regularly and doing video analysis throughout the week. The videos will be reviewed and analysed most days at convenient times that don’t interfere with skiing.
The groups are a maximum of 4 per instructor.
The course is suitable for Academy levels 3-6 on our rating scale. If you’re not sure of your level please have a look at the videos here
