About  the trip

With the help of our partners at JST, we’ve crafted an unforgettable journey to the beautiful, lesser-known region of Tohoku. This hidden gem offers incredible snow, peaceful resorts, and a rich dose of authentic Japanese culture—making it the perfect setting for a truly unique ski adventure.

You’ll enjoy 7 days of skiing, with the first day dedicated to a relaxed warm-up to shake off the jet lag and explore the slopes at your own pace. After that, it’s 6 full days of expert, powder-focused coaching across four fantastic resorts—each offering something different and special.

We’ve taken care of nearly everything for you—accommodation, resort logistics, coaching, and more—so all you need to do is get yourself to Japan and we’ll handle the rest. That means you can focus on enjoying the ride, improving your skills, and soaking up the best of Tohoku with the guidance of the Academy’s elite coaching team.

know before you go

required level

We’ve slightly upped the minimum required level from previous Japan trips as some of the terrain is harder than that offered in Niseko.

The minimum ski level is now Level 3 – “I can ski easy off-piste terrain (bumps, powder, variables)”. Please watch the levels videos here and if remotely unsure message us with a description of your confidence and what you can ski and even send in some footage if helpful!

Single supplements

The price quoted above is based on twin occupancy (sharing a room with one other person). If you would prefer a single occupancy room, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

However, availability at the Semi Onsen Ryokan (Feb 7–9) is limited, so single rooms may not be possible for those two nights. In that case, guests may need to share a room. We appreciate your understanding!

what’s not included

Flights aren’t included – please arrange these yourself and make sure you join the group for the first night in the hotel in Tokyo. Feel free to travel out before and enjoy some Japanese culture of course!

Getting to the hotel in Tokyo and departing the hotel in Tokyo – this is down to you and not included in the trip.

Lunch, booze and snacks aren’t included

Introducing Tohoku

Located at the northernmost tip of Japan’s main island, Tohoku remains a hidden gem for powder seekers. Unlike some more crowded Japanese resorts, Tohoku offers no lift lines, peaceful slopes, and days of untracked powder—all without the competition.

This is where you’ll find a true oasis of cultural authenticity paired with some of Japan’s best skiing. Quiet mountains, welcoming locals, and deep snow make for a unique and unforgettable experience.

Booking & Payment

Please book and pay for the trip via the button above. If you’re prefer to pay a deposit (CHF2500) and then the balance before Sept 15th (CHF2499) this is possible – just email and we’ll manually process the booking this way. If interested in a single occupancy room please get in touch and we’ll let you know the price and availability.

Don’t forget to then organise your flights and insurance yourself!
