We have just reached the end of the first of two courses here in Furano, Japan. Planted firmly in the middle of the infamous ‘Hokkaido Powder belt’ Furano recently changed its backcountry laws and opened up access into some of the regions most amazing terrain.
The conditions did not disappoint. From the first day to the last, each WSSA group was able to Ski the lightest powder on earth and take in a very traditional Japanese Ski experience.
The groups now have two days of freeskiing to explore their new powder skiing skills and the Academy team are looking forward to welcoming our week 2 members this evening.
