About the WSSA

Tactic technique

The tactic technique series has slightly more emphasis on the tactical and psychological side of skiing with technique as a secondary focus. For certain off-piste terrains specifically it’s really important to be able to not fixate on small technical elements (as important as they may be) and make sure you get other things working well that will have a huge impact on both your confidence in this terrain, safety and control.

Live lockdown webinars

When Verbier and the World in general was shut down by the COVID-19 pandemic we wanted to try and help people think about skiing and improve their knowledge, understanding and way their body can move off snow. During this period of self isolation, social distancing and general lack of mountain time we were fully aware that people felt the effects of not skiing. Trust us. We felt the same!

That’s why during this time we produced live weekly lockdown webinars in addition to offering our services through our Remote Coaching program.

Either way, people are always striving to develop their ski technique. The main problem people face with this is getting the opportunity to practice technically and physically in an active skiing position.

Pre-Ski Warm Up
Before skiing (or any sport) it’s essential to prepare your body for the sport it’s about to do. This is particularly important with skiing as we generally go from being cold and static to skiing at a high intensity and having to exert and stress our muscles to a high degree with no preparation in between.
